My stay at Malmaison Glasgow had its ups and downs. The customer service was really good, with staff being friendly and attentive. However, I faced issues with noise from the bar area and the fire alarm going off at midnight, which disrupted my sleep. Overall, while I appreciated the service, the experience was marred by these disturbances.

Rooms
5.0
The room was small and faced inward, leading to noise issues from the bar below. It was nicely decorated but not 4-star standard, with potential for improvements in cleanliness.
Service
6.0
Service was attentive at times, especially at the restaurant. However, there were inconsistencies, with staff sometimes being unhelpful and slow in the bar area.
Location
7.0
I found the hotel centrally located, making it easy to explore Glasgow. It was perfect for accessing attractions but the noise from the bar was a downside.
Dining
5.0
Dining was a mixed experience; while the quality of food was high, the service at breakfast was chaotic and unorganized. I had to wait too long for drinks and felt overlooked.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were decent, but the bar service was slow at times. The hotel offered room service and other amenities that were standard for the price.

I was really excited about my stay at Malmaison Glasgow, and while there were some highlights, a few aspects left me feeling underwhelmed. The hotel had a stylish vibe and a great location, but I encountered several maintenance issues that didn't quite align with the price. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there’s room for improvement.

Rooms
6.0
I stayed in a Duplex Suite which was nice but had some maintenance issues like missing paint in the bathroom and a damaged shower seal causing water to leak everywhere. The wardrobe looked ancient, and it just didn't meet my expectations for the price.
Service
7.0
While check-in felt a bit casual and lacked enthusiasm, the bar staff were really quick with our complimentary drinks which I appreciated. However, I had trouble connecting with reception when I needed to call, which was a bit frustrating.
Location
8.0
The location was a bonus—close to the city center and easy to get around. It’s not in a heavy tourist area, which I liked, but that also meant I had a bit of a walk for some attractions.
Dining
5.0
I really wanted to enjoy the restaurant, but the experience was not great. Many menu items were sold out, and the food we did have was pretty uninspiring. It didn’t live up to the hype I had heard, which was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
The place itself is pretty stylish and has a unique character, but it was a bummer that there was only one lift for so many rooms. Plus, I ended up being charged for breakfast I didn’t even have, which was not cool.

My stay at Malmaison Glasgow was quite a mix. The room was cozy with lovely toiletries, but it could definitely use some updates as it felt a bit tired. The staff were absolutely wonderful. very friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference. However, I was disappointed with the dining experience overall, particularly the breakfast, which didn't live up to expectations.

Rooms
6.0
The room decor felt a bit worn, and the view was a noisy construction site. However, I did appreciate the comfortable bed and the nice welcome treats, like chocolates.
Service

All the staff, from reception to the restaurant, were friendly and attentive. especially Paula and Paul who made dining more enjoyable.
Location

The hotel is a short walk from the city center, making it convenient for exploring Glasgow, though getting to the recommended parking was a bit of a trek.
Dining

I found the food quality hit or miss. while the starters were good, the breakfast was overpriced for what I received. The eggs Benedict I had was very disappointing and cold.
Facilities

I had a mixed experience at Malmaison Glasgow. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay feel warm and welcoming. However, the room I stayed in was quite dark, lacking sufficient lighting, which was a bit disappointing. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the city center, but the dining experience was hit or miss with some dishes not up to par.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious but dark, needing more lighting options. I found it a bit hard to see even during the day, which was frustrating.
Service

The staff really made the difference. They were attentive and did everything possible to ensure I was comfortable, which I appreciated.
Location

The hotel is in a great spot, just a few minutes' walk from the heart of Glasgow. It made exploring the city super easy.
Dining

I enjoyed the breakfast, but I encountered some disappointments at dinner. There were several menu items unavailable, which left my dining experience lacking.
Facilities

The hotel has nice amenities, but the dark decor in the bar and restaurant area detracted from the atmosphere a bit. I’d hoped for more vibrant spaces.
